This is my first ever Glamour Box and might not definitely be the last. I have heard of beauty boxes even before but I never pursued trying them out until lately. I have seen Glamour box through Google search and read reviews about it before trying. So far there are more good reviews than bad ones so I decided why not give it a try. I really planned on 1 month subscription to try it out and see how it goes before deciding to subscribe for 3 months.
Recently, I have been looking out for eye liner products and
when I've seen the upcoming box of Glamour Box with the theme "Eye Love It', I immediately thought it's the best time to try it out. I hinted the box will come with eye liners, mascaras or eye shadows, I really hoped for it. So I placed my order on the 9th of February and was eagerly waiting for my box to arrive at my doorstep. A while ago, around lunch time, I logged in in my account and saw that my order was 'paid and delivered' which made me confused. I sent an email asking about the order since I haven't received any tracking number or shipping details. Furthermore, I haven't even received it yet. It didn't get an hour before I received a reply and said they will check on it and will get back at me. After an hour, a mailman was at the door handling me a parcel which I guessed was from the Glamour Box. Funny isn't it? Well I then then sent an email to them that I just received my box and there's nothing for me to worry about anymore. I just love their customer service, very prompt and they get back at you fast. A bonus point.

So let's begin with the unboxing. Got my box in mint condition, well packaged and no bumps. Thumbs up! I got mine in a brown box which is contrary to what I have seen from other review wherein their box was in white. It didn't really matter to me because I do love the box and I do think it'a a keeper. I can somehow use it to store items.
So as I opened the box, I am welcomed with a card, flip it and you will see a description of what's in the box. (as seen on the image above). I can see that all the items are from a brand named 'Eye of Horus'.
CONTENTS:
1. Eye of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil. Full Size 1.2g / 990php
Mesmerize with ancient Metallic Malachite, the teal crystal of love. Adorn and enhance your eyes with this hypnotic shimmering jewel-like formula. Glides effortlessly, waterproof, smudge proof and long lasting. Paraben free.
This is my favorite among all that's inside the box. I love that it is smudgeproof and waterproof. It does take 40seconds for it to set though as mentioned in their website. I do love the rubber smudge too so I can use it as an eye shadow. I am so happy about this item and I am really looking forward to try it out.
2. Eye of Horus Goddes Mascara. Full size 8g / 990php
If you're after perfect natural mascara that won't run, smudge or clump, Eye of Horus goddess mascara is exactly what you are looking for. Formulated in the style of the ancient Egyptians, Eye of Horus mascara uses natural, non-irritating ingredients, making it ideal for sensitive eyes. It strengthens and lengthens for ultimate Goddess lashes.
I am glad to have this although I do hope it was waterproof since summer is near and I prefer waterproof mascaras during summer.
3. Eye of Horus Sharpener. 295php
German made custom sharpener delicately sharpens with precision your Eye of Horus Goddess Pencils.
Hmmm a nice addition to my beauty tools. Not bad.
4. Eye of Horus Ankh Necklace. 580php
The ankh symbolizes the breath of life and the key of the Nile. It often appeared in Egyptian tomb paintings and other art, and connects to strength and health. Add some sparkle to that #ootd with this Egyptian-inspired accessory!
I am really surprised as why they added a necklace since I do expect that all the items will all have to do something with the eyes but I do think that this one is a nice addition. I am starting to like it. I did just hope that the chain was shorter. Oh well, still looking forward to use it though.
5. Eye of Horus Facial Bamboo Mitt. 480php
Scrub those dead cells away with our exclusive Facial Bamboo Mitt, guarantedd to leave skin soft and smooth after each use.
This is the item I am least happy about but no matter it will still be a useful tool in my cleansing routine.
MY IMPRESSION
First of all, I am not really familiar with the brand 'Eye of Horus' so I looked it up. I did found that it is an Australian brand. They do sell eye make ups which are wax and oil based and are paraben free. Not bad if you ask me. If you look it up on their website, the Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil retails at $30 AD, Cosmetic Sharpener at $10 AD and Mascara Goddess Black at $34.95 AD.
Looking into the retail value of the box at 3335php I do think that the 695php that I paid for is worth it. I got more value than what I actually paid for. And as I've mentioned earlier, this is my first box and so far I am really impressed and I am planning to subscribe on the 3 months plan. As of now, I tried to subscribe for 3 months but they don't have enough stock/slot so I might try again by the end of the month or early March in hopes I get to get a slot.
